    Bad Beat Vs Idiots

Occasionaly you will have a good hand and you will be beaten!

It will happen and it will be annoying - sometimes you will go up against either a better or luckier player and sometimes against a plain idiot.

I prefer being outplayed as it is almost impossible not to go on a tilt (to play badly, lose it) when you lose to an idiot.

If this happens the best advice is to leave the game for a while until you calm down and can go back to normal play.

An example of a recent bad beat of mine, I was dealt a pocket A - 7 suited, played the hand and the flop was a magical A, 7, 7 - all the players folded except for one that raised, so obviously i re-raised and was called. The next hand was a 9 and the other player went all in - having a look at the cards, at this point I could not see him having a better hand, so I called his all-in. The cards were shown, I had my full house A, A, 7,7,7 the other player had two pairs, A,A,9,9 - the river cards comes and lo and behold - it was a 9- my full house on the flop, beaten by a better full house on the river.

So extremely annoyed at the other players luck, I avoided the tilt and had won most of the money back by the next three hands.

Playing against idiots in another story and it just really pisses me off and I have to take a break.

Again I was dealt a great pocket of K - Q suited in a PL game and raised the maximun I could - all players except for one folded, and one called the bet.
The flop looked neither here nor there and was a J, 8, 3 with one of the suits I needed. I placed a small bet and was called.
The turn card was a K, so now I had a high pair and was feeling fairly confident and bet high and I was immediately called.
The river cards was a 2.
I bet high and once again was called and the cards were shown, and I was beaten by two pairs, not the J -8 as you might expect, but by the J - 2.
What a total idiot - why would someone play a J - 2 unsuited in a standard ring money game is totally beyond comprehension, as the person was neither big or small blind, and had no reason to call, so be prepared, you will meet an idiot and they will win and you will get extremely annoyed - just try and get over it and continue trying to play well, in the long run the idiots money will be sitting in your bank account.

From experience you will find more chancers and more risks on the lower denomination tables.

There are also various styles of gambling - learn to recognise the agressive style better - they will play the software and not the game, hoping for a lucky straight or low two pair. If you are playing with high cards and they don't match up on the flop, and you have agressive player, then fold after the flop, don't get suckered into losing against a fluke 2 pair or something of the sort - if you have A,Q and you don't even flop a pair then fold the cards if you have someone betting high against you.
